WoW Auction Mastery is a new guide by Mayley Winter. What sets this guide apart is that it is entirely focused on the Auction House, and if your a veteran WoW gold profiteer then you know that you need to understand and master the Auction House to make those huge profits. So is WoW Auction Mastery up to the task?

WoW Auction Mastery consists of 15 videos that you can either watch on the site or download to view whenever you want. The site also has a section where you can download all the add-ons you will need to implement the Auction House strategies you are shown in the guide. We found this to be a convenient feature, sure, the add-ons are freely available anywhere on the net, but it’s nice to have them available in one location, definitely a time saver. Here is an image of the main screen where you will get your videos and the additional guide gold strategy guide (freely available on our right sidebar).

The quality of the video’s is very good, they are in Quicktime format and are available for either browser viewing or download. We recommend downloading, especially if you are fortunate enough to have dual monitors so you can be viewing one while organizing in game. The information in the video’s is very good as well, you will find what you are looking for, that is, if you are looking to implement the strategies that most of the WoW gold profiteers use. The information is easy to follow, all critical information freeze framed and arrows are pointed out to the areas being discussed. The videos are not narrated, the information is actually presented in caption format and image format. This actually works very well and gives you the information in a cut and dry manner, no fluff. All in all, a pretty good video guide, especially if you are looking to implement advanced strategies. It is definitely a focused package, and if you are wanting to expand your strategies in the Auction House this will probably do the trick. What’s the downside? The price, as of this writing it is $57.00 which, in our opinion, is too steep. A definite consideration should be given for at least a $10.00 price drop.

As you can see, it’s a nice robust package. We were happy to see that each guide is not packed with filler material but with substantive information. The value it offers is very high and were were generally surprised by the amount of information each of the guides has. They are methodically ordered to maximize efficiency, of course, it’s hard to organize a game as big as WoW and tactics or places that involve gold profiting, it’s just too much information, but nonetheless, Warcraft Millionaire does a good job of presenting things in an orderly fashion.

The primary gold guides are ordered as you would expect, from release to most current expansion. We expect that a new addition will be available soon after the release of Cataclysm. The data is given in a step by step fashion, with locations, tables and grids, and maps where necessary. These are not skimped out pages.

The supplemental guides, Auction House Domination, Grinding Guide, Limited Items Report, and the Daily Quests Guide are also to be commended. They are actually beefy additions to an overall very nice package. For instance, the Daily Quests Guide is over 60 pages alone.

Truth be told, we were a little surprised that the package was as thorough as it is. Often we are left holding the bag with crap guides but Warcraft Millionaire is not one those guides. It’s surprisingly well done. Our only beef is that a couple of nice video guides would have been welcome. After Warcraft Wealth introduced a supplemental video guide of the Auction House, we realized how valuable it is have some video documentation to complete the package. Regardless, the package is recommended, but we leave you with our usual word of caution – Research all guides before deciding on which one you want. Enjoy.

The first guide is the WoW Basics Guide. It has what you would mostly expect from a basics guide, such as what to avoid early on, which Profession’s are best for grinding, a basic rundown of the Auction House, and a walkthrough of some of the best Instances you can take advantage of early on. The WoW Basics Guide doesn’t just provide an explanation of Profession’s and the like, it has actual walkthrough’s and maps of the best places to go to find profitable items.

The second guide is actually what is considered the primary guide. The Warcraft Wealth is the meat of the package, this is where Wayne gives you all the insider scoop one would like when they purchase a WoW gold guide. This is the part where you find the tricks of the trade the elite gold making pro’s use, as well as the tools that are necessary for you to exponentially increase your ability to profit.  The primary guide also lists the advanced tactics used by the elite profiteers. The strategies are explained in some detail. There are multiple tactics in this guide, we can’t go into detail for obvious reasons but we will say that they were satisfactory and that most new players will be satisfied with their results.

The third guide in the package is the Mining Maps Guide. And it’s exactly what it sounds like – a guide that shows you all the areas that you can mine and what kind of ore you’ll find there. This is the weakest of the three guides as you will find alot of this information by doing a simple search engine query, but it’s still nice to have around when you go on one of your ore farming runs.

As stated earlier, Warcraft Wealth also comes with a video guide specifically focusing on the Auction House. If your new to WoW gold making then you need to understand that the key to making huge gold profits is by mastering the Auction House. There are nuances you details you need to learn, fortunately the Warcraft Wealth Auction House videos provide very good detail. The video’s move you from the beginning stages of finding the tools and how to install them, to actual walkthrough’s of Wayne utilizing advanced strategies with those tools. Wayne does a fine job of explaining the methods as he acts on them. In our opinion, this is where you’ll get the most out of this guide.

All in all, Warcraft Wealth is a solid package. We felt the guides were a little lacking but that the videos were surprisingly well done with advanced tactics that will certainly prove profitable if implemented correctly. The ebook guides have some spelling errors and grammatical mistakes, but for the most part you will understand what is being explained. Though not as well organized as Secret Gold Guide or as voluminous as Gold Secrets, Warcraft Wealth provides you something neither of the those two guides does – Advanced Auction House video walkthroughs. We recommend this guide, but as always, research all the guides prior to making any WoW gold guide purchase.

WoW Tycoon was a recent release of the new generation of WoW gold guides. This guide had a very good marketing campaign prior to it’s release, and on release day it sold a lot of copies. So what did the new WoW gold guide WoW Tycoon have to offer that other guides didn’t? What made this such a fast seller? Maybe a better question would be is “Why were so many WoW gamers dissatisfied with their copies?” The answer is simple, WoW Tycoon is a bland guide that offers very little in the way of new information.

WoW Tycoon, like most guides, is comprised of a primary guide supported by supplemental guides. What makes the difference in a good WoW gold guide primary guide is the quality and organization of the content. Unfortunately, WoW Tycoon’s primary guide lacks both. It is a guide that seems to take more pride in filler material and bloated space hogging images (to increase the page count) than it does in providing useful and methodical information that brings real value to the WoW gamer. The primary guide is a skimpy 154 pages, in comparison Gold Secrets by Luke Brown is 343 pages and packed with great info. WoW Tycoon’s primary is not useless, it does provide some useful info but it’s just stuff that most other guides provide at lesser cost and with greater detail and volume. I think you get the jist of the primary guide, no need to cover it in detail, frankly because there isn’t much detail to cover. I mean, how many times do I have to be told to stock up on bags early?

The rest of the package is a trio of supplemental guides. This is the list:

• Warcraft Tycoon’s Auction House Secrets
• Warcraft Tycoon’s Northrend Rare Mob Hunting
• Warcraft Tycoon’s Fishing & Cooking Guide

These are some of the worst supplemental guides around, they, like the primary guide are full of rehashed information. What makes it even worse is that the rehashed info is not even well done. Not much more to say here either.

WoW Tycoon is without a doubt the most overhyped WoW gold guide ever. It was a brilliant marketing campaign and they made off like bandits, but the rest of us got less than we hoped for. Needless to say, avoid this guide. Thankfully there are alternatives, two of the best are Gold Secrets and Secret Gold Guide. Do yourself a favor and get either of those two instead.

Gold Secrets stands at a huge 343 pages, that is still the biggest WoW gold guide ebook out there. It’s quite the monster to say the least. But does what does all this size bring? Well, we are glad to see that it brings many things. It would be almost safe to say that if there is a specific gold making method out there, Gold Secrets probably covers it. The guide spans from the first WoW release to the most current WotLK and patch update. It is linear in approach, this means you can start making gold almost immediately. The pages are not full of unnecessary filler material, on the contrary, they are full of pertinent information, with maps for those hard to find places. The instructions for each gold making quest are done well for the most part. The only gripes is that Luke probably should have included a few more maps and that the overall layout could have been just a bit more organized. But these are small complaints and as a whole the guide is very good.

Gold Secrets comes with four supplemental guides. Are they any good? Actually they are. It was a bit surprising to see how good some of these were, they probably could have been marketed as separate items but thankfully they are part of the overall package. The four supplemental guides are:

Gold Secrets – The Profit Chart: This is a chart of the most profitable mobs, it tells you what they drop, what you level they are, and where to find them. A great timesaver. This is especially useful if your intent is to save time and make some quick cash.

Gold Secrets – Auctioneers Resource: A must have guide. You will need to learn the ins and outs of the Auction House to really make those big profits. Luke doesn’t leave you hanging, he provides you with the necessary info and tactics that have made him a WoW millionaire.

Gold Secrets – Fishing Facts Manual: One of the most underrated ways to make gold is with the Fishing Profession. This manual is my personal favorite of all the supplemental guides. It provides charts, fast leveling walkthrough, lists of equipments, and much more. This is well organized manual. One of the best organized manuals of any guide I’ve owned.

Gold Secrets – Twinking Profits: Another overlooked method to making gold. Twinks are in constant demand of certain items that you can provide at a huge profit. This guide gives you the strategies and items lists that will help you make a lot of gold from this cool profit niche.

While there are many good WoW gold guides out there it’s hard to find one that offers the combination of good volume and good quality like Luke Brown’s Gold Secrets does. This guide is well recommended, but as always, do some independent research before settling for any WoW guide.

As you can see, right off the bat this guide starts you off with the foundation you will need to get your WoW profiting off right. This is the best introduction I’ve seen of any of the guides I’ve used. And this is only the first 10 pages. Very valuable information. As they say, you’ve already won the fight before you ever step into the ring if you’ve prepared to win, and Hayden Hawke has prepared you to win.

Secret Gold Guide does not skimp out on the supplemental guides. All the best WoW gold guides have very good supplemental guides that provide value in addition to the main guide. In other words, they are small guides that provide either tactics that aren’t in the main guide, or dig deeper or provide alternative methods to a particular subject that is in the main guide. With this in mind, Secret Gold Guide created a set of supplemental guides that will further your WoW gold making exploits, here is a list of the supplemental guides.

No guide is complete without the authors support system, here Hayden does a good job of providing a ticket support system in case you get stuck or need additional clarification about gold making strategy. I’ve tested the support and Hayden is responsive. I’m not a huge fan of the ticket system, I prefer a members only forum, but a responsive ticket system works OK for the most part.

I really am happy with the work Hayden Hawke put into Secret Gold Guide, as it stands right now, it is one of my favorite guides. Hayden Hawke really put some effort forward on this guide and it shows, this is a high quality guide.
